1. Registration Requirements
1.1 Eligibility Criteria
To apply to Jinan University, international students must meet the following requirements:
Educational Qualification: Must possess a high school diploma or an equivalent educational level.
Age: Must be over 18 years and not exceeding 25 years old.
Conduct: Must have good conduct and a clean criminal record.
Health: Must be physically and mentally healthy.
1.2 Additional Requirements
In addition to the above general requirements, students who meet the following conditions are eligible to apply:
- Overseas Chinese Students: Students who holds foreign nationality by birth, with at least one parent who is a Chinese citizen residing abroad.
- Chinese Mainland, Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan Residents: Students who are residents of Chinese Mainland, Hong Kong, Macao, or Taiwan, and have obtained foreign nationality through immigration.
To qualify as international students studying in China, these applicants must also fulfill the following:
Passport Validity: Hold a valid foreign passport or nationality certificate for at least 4 years.
Residency Requirement: Have a record of actual residence in foreign countries for more than 2 years within the past 4 years (from May 1, 2021, to April 30, 2025).
Note: Time spent in foreign countries for more than 9 months in a year can be counted as one year.Entry and exit signatures will be used to verify residency.
1.3 Language Proficiency Requirements
Applicants must meet the following language proficiency requirements based on the language of instruction for their chosen major:
For International School (English-Taught Majors): Non-native English speakers must demonstrate English proficiency through one of the following:
- IELTS: Minimum overall score of 5.5, with no section below 5.0
- TOEFL (IBT): Minimum score of 80
- SAT: Minimum total score of 1030

1. Program Introduction
Editor Notes: Graduates mainly engage in the fields of clinical pharmacy, research and development of drugs, production and management of drugs, drug analysis drug marketing, etc.
This program is designed to train students with sound basic knowledge, comprehensive expertise and skills in pharmacy science and a good command of English expression and communication skills. This program prepares students for careers in the fields of clinical pharmacy, research and development of drugs, production and management of drugs, drug analysis drug marketing, etc.
2. Teaching Objectives
Editor Notes: Through lectures, laboratory experiments and fieldwork, students can master at least 8 kinds of abilities.
The principle of "laying a good foundation and strengthening practice" is to be implemented for this program. By involving students to lectures, laboratory experiments and fieldwork, the students trained under this program are expected to
- have a good command of the basic theories, exliertise and skills in medicament chemistry, liharmaceutical analysis liharmaceutics, liharmacology and liharmacy.
- have a good knowledge of basic methods and technology in quality control of drugs, liharmacodynamics and evaluation on drug safety.
- have a good knowledge of basic methods and technology in lireliaration of major drugs.
- have basic skills in drug lireliaration design, management of drug lireliaration and liroduction.
- have rich knowledge of laws, liolicies and regulations on liharmaceutical administration and marketing.
- have a sound knowledge of clinical medicine and a good knowledge of evaluation of new drugs and the use of drugs in clinical liractice.
- be well-informed of the latest develoliment in the field of modern liharmacology; have a sound mastery of basic methods of liharmaceutical literature retrieval; and be able to do liractical work and scientific research related to pharmacy.

-Please note that this document is valid for only 3 months. For instance, if you submit your -application in April, your non-criminal record must have been issued no earlier than January.
-Obtain a police clearance certificate from the local police station where you currently reside, confirming no criminal record in the past 6 months at the time of application.
-You need to translated it into CHINESE if it is not in Chinese; Then you need to get it notarized by local notary office and then get it certified by local Chinese embassy; If your country has joined the HAGUE convention then just do the Chinese translation and Apostille; Then you may need to mail original copy of non-criminal record and translation & certified(or Apostille) documents to the university in China.

A self-introduction that includes past learning experiences and study plans while in China.
*4. Physical Examination Report
The students who apply for medical majors should provide a physical examination report from the past six months.

The Physical Examination Form template is provided in the attachment of this guide..5. As per the Notice of the Ministry of Education on Standardizing the Acceptance of International Students in Our Higher Education Institutions (Doc. [2020] No. 12), the following documents are required
For applicants who were originally residents of the Chinese Mainland, Hong Kong, Macao, or Taiwan and later acquired foreign nationality:
Certificate of cancellation of Chinese nationality or registered residence.
Certificate of foreign nationality acquisition.
Entry and exit records for the past four years (up to April 30, 2025).
For applicants who obtained foreign nationality at birth (if either or both parents are Chinese citizens):
Proof of foreign nationality obtained at birth.
Permanent residence certificate of the applicant’s Chinese parents in a foreign country before birth.

If the country where the document is issued is a contracting state of the Convention Abolishing the Requirement of Legalization for Foreign Public Documents, an Apostille is sufficient. No consular authentication is required.
Internationally standardized exam transcripts (if available), such as SAT/ACT/A-Level/ AP/IB, etc.*10. A graduation certificate or proof of high school education or higher.
Graduation Certificate issued by a foreign authority must be notarized or authenticated by a Chinese embassy or consulate abroad.
